I was blessed to be able to shoot these two gorgeous women today.
I just got starting editing & I promise there will be many more to share. Wyatt is in love with this little lady! I can't blame him...

Busy Busy Busy
I have had the two most productive days in a long time!! Lonely, but productive. John took all the boys camping so I could get caught up on editing and creating. It has been nice, but I'm missing my men. It's way too quiet here, except for Harley's snoring.
Finished up this handsome guy's images:
I've set up my studio lights. John is going to be in for a surprise when he gets home. They take up the entire dining room. Oops! It's actually pretty funny looking. Harley was a pretty good model last night so I could try them out fresh out of the box. Love them! He might kick me & my lights out to the garage though. Hoping my delicious dinner will win him over.
I'm about finished constructing the box. These boxes are a lot of work!! But, I'm sure it'll be worth it. Promise to share pictures when it's all done!
Back to work!

I just got home from a senior shoot that had me laughing the whole time. This young man is a crack up. Watch out ladies at Texas Tech! Great sense of humor, athletic, smart (#4 in his class) and very handsome!
This is sure to be a busy/fun weekend. Editing, more editing, setting up my new studio lights (sigh, a head-over-heels-in-love kind of sigh), some more editing, getting ready for a fundraiser, making boxes (wait till you see this!), and probably more editing!
Anybody who is keeping track, Harley the 8 month old puppy now weighs 130 pounds and continues to eat everything in sight. On the menu this week: a yellow foam noodle for the pool, a popsicle with the wrapper still on, the lid to the toothpaste and a tire off of a toy motorcycle.

Cabin Fever!
We had so much fun at my parents' cabin, I thought I'd share a few of my favorites:
the boys loading up and getting ready
this paper plate did not stand a chance
A trip to the cabin just wouldn't be the same without my father finding something to stick up his nose. It's no wonder why my boys love their Papa Jack so much! He's a great big kid!
Can't wait to get back down there. So much fun to be had. I have the most amazing family ever.

The Texas Monsoon
I admit... I love the rain. I love thunder storms & could watch lightning all night. This Saturday it poured. Buckets and buckets. Unfortunately, the storm hit right as Ray's party was getting under way. Cars were stalled, roads were closed, buckets and buckets of rain fell. Regardless of the rain, the kids had a blast. I love that about kids - the ability to find fun in any situation. Here's a couple of pics from Saturday. It was a lot of fun catching up with just some of the many wonderful people who have had a part in Ray's recovery by helping out in some way or another. Such amazing people! I love yall!
I have so many soggy to pictures to sort through. And many memories to keep me smiling. Much fun! Delicious food! Fabulous friends!
Happy Birthday Ana!

Celebrating!
There is so much to celebrate:
It has been ONE year since Ray's motorcycle accident. This time last year, I was flying out to be with Katy and my family. We didn't know what to expect. Such a scary feeling. I'm still amazed at Katy's strength and Ray's progress throughout this year. Each day with our loved ones is a true gift from God.
I am looking forward to celebrating tomorrow with my family and the community around Alvin that helped my family in a time of need. It was humbling to see so many people, friends, even strangers, help in so many ways.
I'm constantly reminded that everyday should be celebrated. Even the crazy, hectic days that do not go as I have planned. Each day is a gift and the people in our lives are just on "loan" (as I heard a very wise man once say). There are so many reasons I have to celebrate! Ray - you are certainly a big one! Love you~

checking out a new app...
I'm liking this new app: Pixelpipe. I uploaded this from my iphone.
Oh, how I love technology!
If only there was an app for getting my kids to pick up their toys and another one to make the dog stop eating the toys that aren't picked up. Apple, please tell me you've got something in the works!

Happy Easter!
The Easter Bunny hit a homerun this year! The boys woke up to find candy-filled eggs everywhere in our house (it's been raining outside.) And of course, they have been playing non-stop with the NERF guns the Bunny left them as well. John included. It's hilarious! They have been having all out wars this morning and only one shot in the eye so far. It needs to be said that it was John who shot Nate in the eye. Even after we had an official family meeting to discuss the rules: no shooting your brothers from the neck up. John had his gun confiscated.
I know Nerf guns should not be the topic of Easter morning. It just happens to be the loudest part of our morning. Now, we are off to mass to celebrate. As Ethan says, "Jesus has risen! A-le-you." Very cute.
After working way too late each night, I am so proud that I finished editing this shoot in record time, I'll leave yall with one more shot...
Happy Easter Everybody!

Still giggling...
It's officially Thursday. My favorite day of the week. I mentally count Thursday as the beginning of my weekend. Yall should try it. I feel like I'm cheating the system by sneaking away one more day in each weekend. It's a beautiful thing, perspective. Now if I could only find a way to mentally change my attitude this tax season...
I came home from a shoot with this beautiful senior & couldn't wait to work on a few images...
So much fun! Plenty more to come...
And of course, I can't resist sharing one more of these cute kids. They crack me up!

Super Wow!
Things are certainly crazy around here. Even more than usual.
I am very excited to finally shoot the CARE auction winner tonight. Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day! Then tomorrow I get to go downtown to see my sister who is in town for a volleyball tournament! I can't wait to get to hang out with her. Between the two of us, there are 7 kids under the age of 9. So, needless to say, when we get together it's on the WILD side. Always fun though! It will be wonderful to just get to hang out, the TWO of us!!! And I could really use a downtown fix. I am a country girl at heart, but I love a good dose of big city, downtown every now & then. Plus, I have a ton of pictures to give her!
Speaking of pictures, I have over 500 images still to edit! I have been to two workshops in the past two weeks. I am so anxious to try out all my new knowledge. My brain is overflowing! I love learning new stuff! I don't think I'll ever stop trying to learn something new.
I am also anxiously awaiting my new studio lighting that I have ordered. It just can't get here fast enough.
We are planning a relaxing Easter. Then next weekend, back down to Alvin for Ray's "Thank God I'm Alive Party." I can't believe we're coming up on the one year anniversary of his accident. We're so proud of you, Ray for all that you've accomplished in your recovery! Keep working hard, Bro!
